We have just arrived back from dear Malta.

 It was our fifth or sixth visit to the island.

We are still arguing about the number of visits as for two of them I was too ill to really take much in.

In spite of this I love Malta!

Every thing is just perfect, the weather, the geography and most of all the people.

 I think if it were sunny all the year round we would never go anywhere else.

Unfortunately February and March are not as hot as we like so Tenerife is our second choice.
Once more we have to thank the Malta bridge clubs for our usual warm welcome.
The first times we played there were only 3 tables and our scores were abysmal.
There was such a spread between the 70% top and us at the bottom we nearly didn’t go again.
However we risked it and came a respectable 3rd on that evening.
The last visit we didn’t get the results but felt confident that we would not be last
Two of the clubs now play in the same venue  The Malta Bridge Club (Penthouse section)

I suppose its time to be thinking of Christmas and I’ve started
looking at possible gifts for bridge friends.
 I have found a new site  Richmond bridge and they have a good range of large print cards which I thought would be useful.
  So often people forget to bring the ‘right’ spectacles with them.  Not only the sight goes but our memories as well.

I have been looking at sites which offer free bridge on line here are some addresses;

The Times has a site with free videos on how to learn to play.

If anyone is interested we can now access the EBU’s first annual report on their website
